Tribal Tourism With the increased interest in travel on the reservations, the Department of Tourism has partnered with tribal tourism advocates from each tribe for roundtable discussions. The Roundtable discussions are a place where the state and tribal tourism representatives can ask questions and work together. The Department of Tourism also consults with tribal tourism advocates. One such collaboration is the Department of Tourism's publication: Native South Dakota: A Travel Guide to Tribal Lands. In an on-going effort to keep the publication updated, requests went out to each of the nine tribes' tourism representatives to have them look over and send back updates and corrections to the publication. A brochure was also published with brief information about each reservation called Travel South Dakota's Tribal Lands. For more information regarding tribal tourism, please contact the Department of Tourism at: 605.773.3301 or 1.800.952.3625.
